Jeremy Rogers Yachts has announced that the Contessa boatyard will be moving in the new year to Lymington Yacht Haven from its current location in Milford-on-sea.

‘A waterside location will make it much easier to accept small jobs on Contessas and other boats,’ said Jeremy Rogers, the well-known builder of the Contessa 32 and head of the company that has now diversified into other areas via Jeremy Rogers Special Products Division.
‘Visiting yachts will also be able to stay on the boatyard’s work berth whilst repairs and maintenance work are undertaken,’ he said. ‘Prices will be more competitive as well, now that road transport costs to the old yard are taken out of the equation.’
Jeremy Rogers set up in business in 1961, and within ten years had one of the most successful boat manufacturing companies in Britain. The most popular of all was the Contessa 32. Today at the yard, as well as yacht refurbishment work, a limited number of these much-loved classics are still being built, adding to the 800 or so already sailing all over the world. Jeremy Rogers Limited is also the sole supplier of original Contessa 32 accessories and spares.
