One year on from the grounding of MS Napoli, the UK's south coast serves up more beached cargo...
Almost exactly a year on from the grounding of MS Napoli off the Dorset coast, there were amazing scenes all along the Sussex shore this weekend as tons of loose and bundled 10m-long planks of wood washed up after the sinking of the Greek-registered freighter Ice Prince last week.
Boat owners have been warned that the floating wood may present a hazard, while police have said that if people continue to take the wood, they could be liable to prosecution and arrest under the Merchant Shipping Act.
