Yacht coatings specialist Hempel Yacht has launched a new website offering practical tips and advice on boat care and maintenance.

The
website includes a selection of how-to videos and tutorials, from choosing and
applying a hull coating to cleaning and varnishing wood.

It also contains comprehensive
product information, a Paint
Calculator to help you work out the amount of paint you need for each task, a
list of stockists and news on new product launches, boat shows and yacht
care trends.

It aims to save sailing enthusiasts both time and money when completing
boat maintenance work.

Thomas Olsen, marketing and business manager for yachts at
Hempel, said: ‘Maintenance
is an essential part of keeping a boat’s sailing properties and appearance -
not to mention value.

‘But sometimes yacht owners end up wasting time and money
by either choosing the wrong product for the job or applying the product
incorrectly. The new website ensures they have the information they need to do
a perfect job first time.’

Hempel
has used its experience as a supplier and advisor to boat yards to create the site.
