At an awards ceremony held at the Dinghy Show last Saturday three volunteers were recognised for their contributions to Sailability, a charity that campaigns to get less able people out on the water. In the UK there are currently over 16,000 disabled sailors sailing at over 200 sailing clubs, with the help of 12,000 volunteers.

Clare Grey won a Volunteer Award for her dedication to Tideway Sailability, Surrey Dock, where she has worked for 20 years.
The award for ‘outstanding contribution’ was presented to the founder of Rutland Sailability, John Morley, for his creation of the vibrant and active regional group.
Alan Woolford received the last award for the work he has done as one of the founder members of Queen Mary Sailability, Surrey.
