A woman was rescued by the staff of Trafford Water Sports Centre on Monday after she drove her car into the lake.
The sports centre staff were on their first day back after winter leave when the Land Rover went through the car park barrier, down a slope and into Sale Water Park. The vehicle was half submerged when rescuers Paul Faulkner, David Barker and David Harewood arrived on the scene and pulled her into the boat.
The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital suffering from the cold and shock, but was not injured.
