The PBO-sponsored annual Beaulieu Boatjumble took place on a spectacularly sunny Sunday, 17 April 2011.
Exhibitors, including nealy 800 stands and more than 100 car-booters in the newly enlarged Trunk Traders area, reported good trade, with very few of the 9,000-plus visitors going home empty-handed.
One particularly lucky visitor, Norman Brent fom Hedge End, Hampshire, was picked by Lord Montagu of Beaulieu himself as winner of the popular PBO/Navionics/Beaulieu ‘Win an iPad 3G’ competition.
There was also a Land Rover Experience Trailer Handling competition in which visitors manoeuvred a 15ft trailer with a C-Fury RIB to win an afternoon’s adventure on C-Fury.
The Lymington coastguard helicopter made a fly-past on the morning of th eevent, and Aqua Zorb was busy with visitors walking on water in giant transparent balls.
Many also took the opportunity to explore Beaulieu’s historic stately home and numerous attractions.
