International Sailing Summit's ‘Waking up the sailing industry - how sailing needs to modernise, diversify and develop to attract and retain participants'
The International Sailing Summit (ISS), taking place this Monday, 17 November, will be streamed live online for the first time in the event’s history.
This worldwide industry forum has never before been as accessible to a truly global audience, with content available at the time and as a resource after the event.
The summit theme ‘Waking up the sailing industry – how sailing needs to modernise, diversify and develop to attract and retain participants’ stresses the importance of modernisation and innovation.
Organiser British Sailing, a British Marine Federation (BMF) association, is working in partnership with SailRacer and SportsXsream, to utilise the latest in online technology to help share the benefits of the Summit by providing streaming to sailing enthusiasts.
Michael Jørgsholm of SportsXstream said: ‘During the event audiences can follow the event live and after the event the site will remain and work as an easy accessible frame to find the replays of the recording from each speaker slot including the presentations and all relevant documents.’
The event will include presentations by globally renowned industry experts and sailing stars.
This includes double Olympic gold medallist and skipper of America’s Cup challenger Artemis Racing Iain Percy OBE, Molly Winans of Spinsheet Magazine and Peter Johnstone of Gunboat.
The summit will place in Amsterdam the day before METS. Several leading sailing companies have signed up to attend, including representatives from Harken, Spinlock, Topper International and Raymarine.
To view the live streaming visit the ISS website from 8am (GMT) on Monday 17 November.
