Meet the RYA's new Bob the Buoy mascot...and MUCH more!
The PSP Southampton Boat Show returns to the South Coast this Friday offering both boating enthusiasts and landlubbers a spectacular day out.
This year’s event, from 13-22 September, will be packed with
more than 350 boats on display plus plenty of attractions, family fun activities and opportunities to get out on the water.
The show’s most popular attractions include:
Feature Boats – Free
Try A Boat – Free
Get Afloat – Free
RYA Active Marina
Battle of the Classes Pursuit Race – Free
Honda RYA Youth RIB Championship – Free
Held at one of Europe’s largest purpose-built marinas with over 2km of pontoons, the 45th annual show will include more than 120 new boats debuts.
Celebrities attending the event include Brian Conley and Leslie Joseph, who will be starring in a swashbuckling pantomime adventure of Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre later this year.
They can be found on the deck of the Phoenician ship this Friday, 13 September 2013 at 9.30am at marina berth M53.
Another celebrity guest set to make waves at the show is the Royal Yachting Association’s (RYA) new Junior member mascot ‘Bob the Buoy’.
Bob will be hanging out on the RYA stand (EO37) on the weekends of 14-15 and 21-22 September and all are invited to come and say hello and have your photo taken with him.
He’ll also be taking a
wander around the show, so see if you can spot him!
Youngsters aged 12 and under are also invited to take part in a special ‘Bob the Buoy’ colouring competition which will
be taking place on the RYA stand on both weekends of the show – with Bob the Buoy t-shirts up for grabs for the four winners.
