Regatta comes to an end after a week of close racing
The 15th Swan European Regatta in Cowes
concluded last week after a week of close racing in ideal weather conditions.
The Swan 45 class sailed 11 races, and classes A, B and C completed eight.
In the Swan 45 class, Glynn Williams and WISC maintained overall first place position despite coming in fourth in
the final race of the regatta. The Leask family’s Club Swan 42, Magical
Mystery Tour, took first place in Class A. Class B
was won by Iain and Graham Tomson in Swan 40 Sloop John T, while Alistair Evans in Swan 37 Alvine XV took the Class C honours.
Enrico Chieffi, managing director of
Nautor’s Swan, said: ‘Racing in all classes was astonishingly close, and in
fact all of the four classes were decided on the final race. Congratulations to
all the winners.’
