Both ends of the country are holding major boating events over the early May Bank Holiday weekend.
Starting from the top, Liverpool will host Spring on the Waterfront, taking place on the same dates – 29 April to 8 May – as the cancelled Liverpool Boat Show. Featuring more than 100 free events, the spectacular boasts Tall Ships, an international shanty festival, two regattas and a giant screen that will show the Royal Wedding on the opening Friday, followed by a street party.
In the far south, the Channel Islands are ready to welcome visitors to the fourth annual Jersey Boat Show, running 30 April to 2 May. Bigger and better than ever, this event will showcase all the numerous water-based pursuits and huge variety of watercraft, from paddle boards to superyachts and the local RNLI lifeboat, that call the island home. As a bonus, Garmin customers are offering discounts on some purchases made at the Jersey Show.
