Mast masters Seldén have been crowned overall winners of the prestigious 2010 Design Award METS, known as the DAME Awards, for their revolutionary reversible winch.

Presented at the Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) currently taking place in Amsterdam, the DAME is acknowledged as the marine industry’s premier product prize.

It is Seldén’s first such win and, says the winch’s designer, Jan Karlsson, ‘a great way to celebrate our 50th anniversary’.

Being new to the winch market, Seldén had no preconceptions so went back to basics and designed the reversible winch from scratch. Its push-button design saves space and offers improved safety and ease of use.
