On show at Paternoster square
The leading maritime charity Seafarers UK successfully launched their Seafarers Awareness Week campaign today with the unveiling of a specially commissioned piece of artwork by 3D pavement artists Max Lowry and Joe Hill, at Paternoster Square.
3D pavement art uses clever distortion techniques to give the impression of a ship sailing below the city streets. Visitors can have their photograph taken on the artwork and there are props available to make the photos unique.
The 3D artwork is part of the charity’s Seafarers Awareness Week campaign to raise the public’s awareness of the work and plight of seafarers in the UK and the commonwealth.
The artwork will be displayed at two other London locations this week:
· Exchange Square, near Liverpool Street station, Wednesday 9th June (from 7.30am to 6pm).
· Carnaby Street, near Oxford Street station, Thursday 10th June (from 12 midday to 6pm).
