Following the demise of Reeds Online Almanac last year, Wiley Nautical have announced they are to stop operating their digital almanac.

A statement on their website said: ‘At this time we have made the decision to focus our future business
strategy on the Wiley Nautical publishing programme’ The Wiley Almanac was launched a year ago and offered free tidal, port and weather data to the yachtsman. By all accounts it was a popular service: a user on PBO’s online forum said: ‘ it was my weapon of choice for general planning of trips – just the
right amount of detail and great having port data and tidal data handily
together.’

Zoboa, the developer behind the almanac, have announced they will be introducing a new software service for yachtsmen in the
