The President of The Little Ship Club, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, will be presenting the Club’s Suhaili trophy to club member, PBO Contributor, blogger and Youtube video producer – Nathan Whitworth – at the London Boat Show.

Sir Robin will be visiting the Club stand (N072R) at the Excel London Boat Show between 1400 and 1600 on Wednesday 13 January.

This has been awarded to Nathan for his exploits in sailing around the UK in his 21 ft Corribee Kudu. A web developer by trade, Nathan resigned in May 2009 and set off around the UK. His blog, which has has thousands of followers, starts from the beginning when he bought Kudu and became a liveaboard in June 2008 at the age of 25. He has now decided to enter the 2012 Jester Challenge race – single-handed to the Azores.

The trophy is named after Sir Robin’s boat in which he made the first non-stop sail around the world just over forty years ago.

Nathan will give a talk at the Little Ship Club on the evening of Tuesday 19 January about his attempt on the evening of Tuesday 19 January in the clubhouse, which is also a new members’ night. Follow Nathan’s blog here
