Carl Bennett learned to sail in an Enterprise on a gravel pit in Wiltshire and at Summer Camp in Wisconsin then left it for years until buying a Laser as part of an early mid-life crisis.. The Laser was exchanged for a Drascombe Scaffie, which was parlayed into a Mirador, then a Folkboat and now a Drascombe Lugger. He was elected to the Nautical Institute and the Honourable Company of Master Mariners.
