David Bond is a writer and sailor from Maine in the USA. He currently teaches English in Frankfurt, Germany, but most summers find him crewing on Happy Return, a 1904 Cornish lugger out of Penzance, Cornwall.

For over a decade he owned and captained, Discovery, a sailing charter boat in Kennebunkport, Maine. His collection of charter boat stories, Adventures in the Charter Trade, was republished in 2018.
