John Latham is a retired inner city Dublin GP, a medical writer and educator. Introduced to sailing by his father in a GP 14, then a Dragon in Dublin Bay, John raced cadet dinghies at school, and cruised in Scotland and the Baltic.

After a gap, John bought a Beneteau Oceanis 311 and then, with John McQuaid, in 2017 bought a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 349. The duo have sailed extensively but particularly enjoy West Cork.
