Additional cruising info for PBO readers
Although, Croatia is a beautiful country with excellent sailing it comes at a price, writes Keith Lewis, in PBO October Cruising Notes section.
The government has amended the tourist tax system this year and any boat owner must now pay a tax based on the number of nights spent on board. This can be paid on a weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual basis. This is in addition to the ‘Vignette’ fees which for a 12-metre yacht are approx £200 per year.
I recently cruised down from Zadar to Dubrovnik and stopped at three marinas (Frapa. ACI Milna & ACI Korcula) where the average price per night was £60. For the full list of tax rates see
