Boating enthusiasts have the chance to learn more about keeping safe whilst afloat next weekend at the Milford Marina Safety Day.
The event takes place on Saturday 14th May between 9am-3pm and will feature demonstrations and safety checks from a range of organisations and agencies.
QuinetiQ Firing Ranges and Castlemartin Range will be highlighting waterway safety around the ranges, while the RNLI will be holding a lifejacket clinic.
Visitors to Milford Marina will also have the chance to meet the Marine Police, the crew from Angle Lifeboat and some of the team from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service who will be on hand checking smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms.
Lucy James, Marketing Manager at the Port of Milford Haven which owns and operates Milford Marina, said “The Safety Day is an important event in the calendar as we’re keen to ensure everyone can enjoy the Milford Haven Waterway in the safest way possible, whether that be ashore or afloat. It will also be a chance to view our new Marina Suite which has just opened to provide berth holders and guests with improved facilities.”
