White Mills Marina on the River Nene in Earls Barton, Northamptonshire will be celebrating its first birthday by hosting an Open Weekend on Saturday 1st April and Sunday 2nd April from 10am – 4pm.
The 141 berth marina which is situated at Lock 9 on the River Nene opened for business on 1st April 2016.
Explained farmer John Skinner, “We have really been bowled over by the amount of interest and support we have received from boaters over the past twelve months. With the number of visitors to the River Nene increasing year on year, we are delighted to now be part of that River Nene cruising experience. We have had some tremendous feedback and are looking forward to our facilities building which will include ladies and gents showers and toilets, disabled facilities and a community meeting room to be up and running by the Summer.
Being a purpose built marina, White Mills Marina has all the services a discerning boater has come to expect including fast and unlimited WiFi, electricity and water direct to each berth, laundry, diesel, gas, coal, Elsan disposal and pump out.
