Keeping any food, let alone anything as compostible as fruit fresh on board can be a challenge – but one way to make your fruit last longer is to keep it in a net. A cheap way of doing this is to buy guardrail netting, available by the metre in most chandlers – it’s a good mesh size for most fruit bigger than a lime – and suspend it from a suitable place.
