A block and tackle with a large snap-hook on one end is a good way of winching someone back aboard. Attach one becket to a halyard, clip the snaphook onto the MOB’s lifesling, and lead the tail through a snatch-block to a winch. You can keep it clipped to the toerail, so that it’s ready to use in an emergency.
