Record-breaking quadriplegic single-handed sailor reaches Pembroke Docks
Hilary Lister, the record-breaking quadriplegic single-handed sailor, reached Pembroke Docks this morning at 0530, havng departed Bude, north Cornwall at 1400 on Tuesday (2 June).
She restarted her attempt to become the first female quadriplegic single-hander to sail around the UK on 24 May from Queen Anne’s Battery Marina, Plymouth and has made good progress so far this year.
Her attempt to sail around Britain in 2008 had to be abandoned because of equipment failure and bad weather.
