Jubilee Sailing Trust and Cardiomyopathy Association hoping the weather is kind...
If you happen to be near West India Docks this Sunday between 10am and 7pm, why not stop by the TS Tenacious, Jubilee Sailing Trust’s tall ship and support the volunteers taking part in a sponsored mast climb.
Conditions allowing, the climbers, including PBO’s Roz Jones and TalkSport presenter Mike Parry, could climb 130ft, having raised a minimum £250 in sponsorship.
The JST operates two tall ships organising sail-training voyages for disabled and able-bodied sailors.
The Cardiomyopathy Association offers information and support to families affected by cardiomyopathy, the biggest medical cause of sudden death in the under-35s.
The event is supported by the sail training company AT Sailing Ltd, which is also organising food and other entertainments.
The weather may not cooperate – the Met office predicts heavy rain Sunday night across the whole country.
