A family from Devon have won the Fours class in the Atlantic Rowing Race, with a time of 39 days, 3 hours, 35 minutes and 47 seconds.
The two brothers, Justin and Robert Adkin, and cousins Martin Adkin and James Green, from Beer, crossed the finish line in Antigua on Sunday with a lead of 800 miles.
During the voyage they battled against three low pressure systems, two tropical storms and the tail end of a hurricane, and missed out on the Fours route record by only three days.
The crew of the aptly named All Relative were welcomed in by a steel band and met by a huge crowd of well wishers. For crewmember Martin Adkin, the cocktail party was a double celebration, as it was his 20th birthday, making him the youngest person ever to row the Atlantic Ocean.
