Before a large crowd, well-known sailing enthusiast Griff Rhys Jones opened the brand new centre at Suffolk Yacht Harbour, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary.

The star of the BBC’s Three Men in a Boat brought his classic yacht Undina (which also appeared on the show) along, and she joined Suffolk Yacht Harbour MD Jonathan Dyke’s restored Mystery class sloop Cereste in being major attractions.

While in 50 years Suffolk Yacht Harbour (SYH) has grown beyond the recognition of its founder, Mike Spear, it has, it that time, also become one of the top restorers of classic boats in the country.
