Yorkshire represented for third time
One English entry has been announced for the 40,000-mile Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race – Welcome to Yorkshire.
The county was previously represented by Hull & Humber in Clipper 07-08 and 09-10, attracting millions of pounds worth of business to the north-east region.
Completing the British contingent are Edinburgh Inspiring Capital and Derry-Londonderry. All ten competing boats are identical stripped-down 20.7m (68ft) racing yachts.
As with other entries, the pink-liveried Yorkshire will be skippered by a professional elite sailor, Englishman Rupert Dean, with crew largely made up of ‘people like you’.
The race starts from Southampton on 31 July.
