Kemp Sails has acquired the licence to build and market Hood sails. In PBO 482 we incorrectly stated that Hood Sailmakers has bought Kemp Sails, but this is not the case. Since 1 December 2006 the full Hood Sails range has been offered alongside the existing Kemp Sails range of cruising and racing products.

The existing Hood Sails loft in Lymington has been closed down and the production servicing and support of the Hood Sails customers will be continued from Kemp Sails in Wareham, Dorset. Kemp Sails will fulfill all current and future orders for Hood Sails UK customers. Both brands will be exhibiting at the London Boat Show from 4 to 15 January on stand N115.
