A West Country boat owner has put his yacht up for sale with the aim of donating the proceeds of the sale to a disabled sailing charity on the River Dart.

The 1970 Kingfisher 20 is lying ashore near the River Dart and is up for sale on Boatshed Brixham website . The company is waiving its commission on the sale.

The boat listing states: ‘She needs a little doing and a bit of a tidy up but essentially a good sound boat’ and the asking price is £1,500.

Kelley Duffelen of Boatshed Brixham told PBO that there was a viewing last weekend and plenty of hits on the website but there had been no firm offers so far.

All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the charity Dart Sailability to support disabled sailing on the River Dart, Devon .
