Stena Voyager returns to port after accident
A ferry bound for Northern Ireland has returned to Stranraer in Scotland after a lorry was discovered hanging out of the rear doors.
The Stena Voyager had just left Standaer when a loud bang was heard by passengers.
Passenger Peter McCrory told the BBC: “We discovered on looking out the rear doors there was a lorry hanging out through the back, it had burst the rear doors.”
A spokesman for Stena Line said: “The ship was quickly stabilised and no-one on board was injured – the hole in the back of the vessel was 30ft above the water line.”
