Spelling errors rectified after five years
Ten signs with spelling mistakes at a Sussex marina are to be replaced, five years after they were installed.
The signs, at Eastbourne’s Sovereign Harbour, included errors such as “helathy” and “predimoninantly”.
A spokesman for the marina told the BBC he had not been aware of any complaints about the signs in the five years before the errors were brought to their attention.
Dave Needham, assistant marina manager, said: “It’s one of those signs people look at but probably don’t pay too much attention to the text, but hopefully they should now because it’s been highlighted in the media.”
