Discounts attract exhibitors to sign up for PSP Southampton and London International Boat Shows

National Boat Shows (NBS) is pleased with levels of interest from exhibitors for the PSP Southampton Boat Show in September and has already received over 380 applications with deposits from marine companies, according to a statement.

NBS introduced Economic Conditions Discounts (ECDs) earlier this month. Companies that apply for at least 90% of their 2009 space with deposit by 17 April will receive a 20% space discount in addition to any membership discount enjoyed.

This ECD is also applicable to new companies. (Conditions apply)

Andrew Williams, Managing Director of NBS, comments: “Companies are looking to reduce costs in this difficult climate and are therefore taking advantage of the ECDs by booking space with us at Southampton and London by the application dates.  We’re strongly encouraging exhibitors who have not yet confirmed their attendance at London to do so by 17 April to enjoy the 20% discount on space, as well as the extra cost saving initiatives we have put in place.”

Big marine names such as Oyster Marine, Broom Boats, Sunseeker International, Northshore Yachts, Fairline Boats, Princess Yachts International, Avon Inflatables, Suzuki Marine, Furuno, Halyard M&I, Garmin, Rockley Watersports and many others have already confirmed their commitment to London’s biggest annual indoor exhibition next year so as to benefit from the ECDs (for a full list of ECDs, go to www.britishmarine.co.uk/ECD).

Will Green of Princess Yachts International said on the incentives: “NBS and BMF have come up with a great package of savings to help the industry during difficult times. We fully support these initiatives and are committed to supporting another successful London International Boat Show.”

Gareth Lumsdaine added: “The Suzuki Indoor Harbour was an outstanding success at London 2009; we will certainly be looking at the additional opportunities provided by the ECDs with a view to growing our space for London 2010.”

Claire Horsman of Northshore Yachts said: “We had a fantastic Show in 2009 and the ECD initiative has enabled us to grow our presence at the 2010 London Show.”

To have the opportunity to learn more about proposed developments to upcoming Boat Shows and pose questions to the Show Team, exhibitors are encouraged to attend the annual NBS roadshows on 6 April in Egham and 8 April in Southampton.  To confirm attendance simply call Adeline Pilfold on 01784 223614 or email apilfold@britishmarine.co.uk

NBS would like to remind all potential exhibitors that the application deadline in order to receive the associated ECDs is 17 April for the London International Boat Show 2010.
