PBO editor Sarah Norbury is at the Nothe ticketed area today.
She parked in the Mount Pleasant park-and-ride car park and paid £10 to take the bus to the Swannery area of Weymouth.
Signposts told her that it was still a 35-minute walk to the Nothe area, but it only took her 15-20 minutes.
Her PBO umbrella was refused entry as it exceeded the maximum size allowed, but the nearby Nothe pub is storing everyone’s possessions.
Sarah said: ‘Once in the ticketed area there’s a great atmosphere. Big screen, music pumping out, crowds on the hill, commentary telling us what’s happening on the water.
‘Bring oilies in case of rain, but there is a huge marquee with seats and a massive screen here too. There is a good view; we can see the 470 start on the Nothe course with the screen for close ups.’
