RIB owners are being invited to take part in a circumnavigation of Britain and Ireland in 2010.

The Great British RIB Rally 2010 has been conceived by a group of enthusiasts and is set to offer its participants an adventurous and challenging 12-day event that circumnavigates mainland Great Britain and Ireland in June 2010. The timetable is demanding, yet planned to allow time for exploration and fuel-efficient travel between stopovers.

During the event participants will be encouraged to keep a log and observe and record sea life around the ever-changing shorelines. The circumnavigation will cover approximately 2010 nautical miles with several overnight stops, and entry is open to RIBs measuring at least 7.5m, capable of cruising at speeds in excess of 30 knots, with a minimum of two crew.

Entrants are encouraged to raise money for the Hospice movement, and any excess funds raised by the Rally from entrance fees or Sponsorship will be given to this charity.
