The third annual South Wales Boat Show is to be held at Margam Park near Port Talbot from Friday through until Sunday, featuring a sold-out 6,000sq ft marquee and more exhibitors and boats than ever before.

The show opens at 10AM with the official opening at 11AM with M.D. of National Boat Shows Andrew Williams and several VIPs.

Alongside the stands of new boats Pembrokeshire Sports Boats will be Showing off BLUE ICE the current offshore power boat record holder of its class clocked at 101.7 mph. on Lake Windermere, which has been lovingly restored to its former glory.

For families with children Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants will be pleased to meet you all on the Barkers Leisure Stand. He will be making appearances to meet and greet at intervals through out the day during the show on both Saturday and Sunday

A new community-based Internet resource for the entire Welsh marine sector will be launched at the show. The brainchild of Greg Cannon, the website, www.marinewales.com, will be launched with two key services: a directory of clubs, with a Facebook-style profile page for each club, and a business directory.
