Hailed as a huge success by organisers, visitors and exhibitors alike, the RYA Dinghy Sailing Show held at the beginning of March at Alexandra Palace was caught on camera and is now available to watch on RYA TV.

The show was busy all weekend, with visitors picking up tips and advice how to improve their sailing and their chances of winning from some of the country’s top dinghy talent. Most of the UK’s dinghy classes were at the show providing information and guidance to sailors together with an impressive line up of exhibitors showing performance dinghies and the latest kit.

Sailors from the British Olympic team mingled with the crowds, answering questions, signing autographs and providing insights in to their preparations for the 2008 Olympic Games. Skandia Team GBR’s Paul Goodison provided a Laser master class to a packed house, providing invaluable tips to improve technique out on the water.

Jenny Curry, Show Manager felt that “there was a great buzz throughout the show, with all the events showing to capacity crowds”.
