After 10 years of hard work, a Hampshire man has broken the sailing speed record by whizzing along a straight line course at 126mph…. in the desert.

Richard Jenkins beat the old record by 10mph on the dry plains of Ivanpah Lake in Nevada on 27 March in 30 mph of wind.
