A diver from Guernsey who had been missing for two days has been found alive by a passing yacht. Matthew Harvey, 35, failed to return from a solo dive trip in Fermain Bay on Saturday, and rescuers had given up hope of finding him.
Mr Harvey was found by a 42ft Moody at 1900 on Monday, almost 12 hours after the air and sea search had been stood down. He is now recovering in hospital, and his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
