Dramatic rescue off the Norfolk Coast
Two dramatic sea rescues off the Norfolk Coast by Yarmouth Coastguard and an RAF rescue helicopter occurred within three hours of each other on Sunday.
The first, of a middle-aged Dutch man from the yacht Waikiki, also involved the German Navy, the Dutch Navy and the Dutch Coastguard, who helped pinpoint his location.
During the final moments of the rescue Yarmouth Coastguard received another call, this time from the passenger ferry Pride of Hull, to rescue a British national who had suffered a fall and was drifting in and out of consciousness.
Both men were evacuated to a local hospital by helicopter.
